So the newbie questions begin here

After years of thinking about it I purchased my first handgun , I ordered it from Tenda yesterday April 21

When I receive it who knows . I have sent the BC CFO all my info and gun range stuff so hopefully that will help speed up the process ,Have had my restricted license for 25 years but this is the first pistol

I bought a Spring Field XDM 9mm competition 5.25

research and recommendations lead me there

No where I can go to test fire anything so all in LOL

Will take all the info I can and am sure I will have lots of questions

nice. Hopefully youll get to use it sooner than later. One thing I would suggest is order an extra magazine or two if you can. Also, if youre not used to loading pistol mags, you might want to get a loader. Personally I done use one, but a lot of my friends swear by them.

This is the great choice, handgun that needs no updates. Extremely reliable and fun to shoot. Well thought design, (potentially) crazy high capacity magazines. IMO the only disadvantage is back straps not extending all the way up, because of grip safety. With bigger size straps installed I could not get consistent grip because of gap in the webbing area, where strap doesn't extend to. If they ever remove grip safety and introduce full size back straps (like on M&P 2.0 and Glock 17 Gen 5) I'll buy one again. I consider XDMs as "luxury variant" of strikers.
