Hey guys!

I bought a spypoint link evo to try out this trail camera picture to your phone thong and see how it works and well so far its been a disaster. I went through the setup of the camera got it all sorted out and now the camera wont send pics to my phone. I called spypoint numerous times and they can’t figure it out all they do is walk me through the same thing everytime to format the sd card, try a new sd card and then update the camera like I hadn’t already troubleshooted that myself before calling them. Now they want me to send the brand new never used in the field camera back to them to fix or repair at my expense 😡 Anyway I was just curious if anyone else has had the same issue with this camera and was able to avoid sending it back to spypoint.

thanks

Try taking the sim card out and clean it, re-install. I had lots of the same issues with mine over the last 2 years, and zero support from spypoint. I added an aftermarket 14" antenna which gives a better signal, but doesn't solve the issues. Last fall I couldn't get it to connect or send photos, and ended up clicking the link 'forgot password' in the app. After changing my password that I used for 2 years, the camera worked perfect all fall.

I believe most of the issues are with the app and their software, not the camera. There is also a web-based app you can go to, and see all the pictures that aren't going to your phone app.

My SpyPoint chit the bed and I called them.
Trying to listen to their oui wee accent...……..yikes.
Their effort to update the camera really really sucks.
I argued with the chap on warranty.
This model had 2 years and he said it didn't until he followed my instructions
to view his web site.
I ended up sending it in and they updated the software in the camera.
No charge other than the cost of shipping.

I wonder if they would sell an sd card already formatted to their customers?
What a fruck'in disgrace of an outfit.

Nomo $$ coming from me.

The latest firmware they sent out for the micro killed one of my camera's when I used it to test with. It would send out photos for the first 10 minutes after a restart and then die. In order for me to fix it I had to roll it back to the previous firmware release but now the color of it's photos are mostly with a green and pink tint to them for some reason. Since after I replaced my firmware I noticed they removed the latest firmware from their website. I am not sure how they could fix the color problem, I will have to reach out to them next week. In your case try firmware that is one version older, it may fix your problem.

Thats the issue I am having is mine won’t connect or send photos to the app, but mine never connected as this is the first time im using it.

Are you able to return it to the retailer? Spypoint sells junk. And their service is terrible.

I couldnt agree more. I used to run 4 of their Link models.
They are terrible and Spy Point customer service is absolutey useless.
I switched all of mine over to Browning cameras, they arent cell cameras so I check them monthly, but no more Spy Point head aches.
