IIRC brass can be reformed from 30-30 but who makes flat nosed bullets for that cartridge?

Pretty sure Hornady dropped them and a bunch of others slower sellers. It's all plastic tips and high BC now.

Any RN will work swell, lots of those in 7mm. Only problem is it’s a .30-30 again with those as most are heavier. I’d struggle through that problem personally without a second thought for a sweetheart rifle like that. Lovely rifle, cartridge, and stock. A tad envious here.

I was fortunate when I bought my rifle and carbine (and other 307,356 &375's) back 25 years ago that ammo and components were everywhere so I became a hoarder of sorts.
As SuperCub says ,makers have dropped them with Nosler #28121 being the most recent I've found at shows. They do show up occasionally, but in a pinch one could use the Hornady 139gr Interlock and file tip back to .881 ovl and even the cannelure is almost exact. How accuracy or game performance will be I have no idea as I'm still on my bulk Sierra's.

RN bullets are getting rare these days as well. I had to scrounge pretty hard to find some 175s for my 7x57.

You would be limited by the o.a.l. of the cartridge. Most 175's would leave the loaded round much too long to cycle through the action unless you seat the bullet way past the cannelure.

i am now using a 7-30 Waters Contender Rifle for deer on my property. Super cartridge, 200-250 yard deer rifle. However, I can shoot any choice of bullet given it is a S/S.

I believe Hornady introduced the Leverlution in this round last year.

I used the 7mm International R for silhouette for a while. That was one of the wildcat predecessors to the 7-30 Waters. It was a good cartridge for that and for hunting with a TC Contender. I'm sure the 7-30 Waters will be the same. - dan
