Take a look at the list thats circulating, WW2 anti-tank guns are on the list. PzB38s etc.

Oddly, I dont see the T-Gewhere.

That it's not on the list doesn't save it. The operating wording is (I paraphrase) "all guns with big bangs are prohibited including..." and then it goes into the list. So if the T-Gewhere meets the 'big bang' requirement it's now prohibited. Sorry.

The following excerpt has been taken directly from the document published by the Federal Government earlier this morning:

Included are two new categories of firearms that exceed safe civilian use. These are characterized by the following physical attributes: a 20 mm bore or greater (e.g. grenade launcher) and the capacity to discharge a projectile with a muzzle energy greater than 10 000 joules (e.g. a .50 calibre BMG). These weapons are primarily designed to produce mass human casualties or cause significant property damage at long ranges, and the potential power of these weapons exceeds safe or legitimate civilian use.

Essentially, what this means is that even if a firearm is not explicitly called out on their list, it is now considered to be prohibited if it fires a round that discharges 10 000 joules (this covers all of the vintage anti-tank guns, as well as anything that has a bore equal to or greater than 20 mm.

$10,000 to $15,000 investment and quite rare. Too long to fit in a fake RCMP cruiser trunk. This crap goes way beyond 'assault rifles'. Somebody's been busy making a list and it ain't Santa.
I hate to sound like a grumpy old man, but this list is depressing, even though I dont own a thing on it, and guess now I never will. Its more depressing because it means I guess I have to keep working, and paying taxes, so people can not catch covid , and so they can buy back this stuff
I know there isnt alot of these guns out there, but are they really going to pay fair market value for 10-20K rifles and guns, including the ones people have no ammo for.
This list makes the idiotic cali list of the 90s look down right rational.

Sorry...

Anyone else notice that this announcement came into effect on International Communism's long time annual Day of Celebration, the 1st. of May?

It also came at a time when they need to divert attention from their inept response to COVID-19, especially their slavish adherence to the flip-flops from the WHO and the shortage of PPE and COVID-19 testing capacity which are delaying a return to normalcy.:sok2

Liberals will jump out of their seats at the sound of a .22 short. On a quasi related topic, don't get angry and spend that energy and time to replace your filters in your cars or motorcycles, if you know what I mean!

This is a ####ing tragedy. I own one of the most expensive on the list. They can blow me though, short of paying me every last cent, I won’t give it up. I’ll grandfather it or id rather donate to a museum as a FU

And what about those "assault shotguns" ....?

They have already said that handguns are the next targets. They intend a clean sweep to disarm us totally.

If any Fudd thinks his semi-auto Trap/turkey/duck/goose gun is safe, he's delusional.

And what about those scoped .30 calibre "sniper" rifles (.308/.30-'06/.300 Mag)?
