What I heard is that somehow the SKS is classified by the authorities as a "hunting rifle" in Canada. Perhaps, because this is the most popular gun for the indigenous people to hunt with.

Honestly $395 is a steal compared to what the sell for south of the border. I expect prices up here to rise as well.

Makes sense since it was designed as a sporting rifle....oh wait, that was the AR-15.

I see all the vendors are raising the new sks prices. the normal price for these will soon be $500 to $700 . remember there is no more coming in. Just like the svt, they were $300 ish now 1,000
It is a non restricted semi for under a grand. they will go up.....a lot
