Exactly true. Wait and see if the minority government falls. If it doesn't, everyone with prohibited firearms phones the RCMP on the last day. Obviously transfers and transportation are prohibited. Hand them a stripped lower. Where's the rest of the firearm? CFC was closed leading up to May 1 2020, i couldn't call in the change from firearm to stripped lower.
 
As an add to some of the previous posts- I have a restricted VZ58. Is this prohib now?

Firearms Reference Table. It's the resource they use for CBSA to authorize or deny imports based on firearms classification. They also use it for use it for a multitude of other purposes like updating the registry, processing transfers and other things I'm forgetting.

Except if it was registered as a complete rifle you have 30 days to re-register it as a lower-only. Same goes the reverse way.

Coles notes: if/when you surrender it, it has to be as described in your FRC. If you show up with just the lower and your FRC on May 1 2020 stated it was a complete firearm, you got some 'splainin to do.

Am a bit confused. Uppers were not part of firearm untill 1/5/2020 so what about those who sold their uppers before that?
 
So since there are no semi auto AR anymore, does that mean all AR mags only fit manual action ARs. Try Par and Sar. And since it is only for those 2 guns.......i hope you see where i am going with this.
 
Here is the kicker about “purchase displacement”, you loose your AR but you still are a target shooter so you substitute it for an ACR... now ACR count goes up so must ban it... in essence they don’t want you to continue target shooting since that likely requires you to buy new guns!!!!!!!
 
So if you had it completely stripped apart for detail cleaning during the COVID bored-at-home can't-visit-the-range time in April, and now there's no reason to put it back together, you have until late May to correct your registration to stripped-lower?

Not the only two. The AR15 mags also fit the Remington 7615P, Mossberg MVP, Ruger Ranch (AR Mag version) and the Ruger Precision Rifle can use the AR10 mags.
