Waiting on CFO approval since March

I've had an order in with irunguns.ca (off the canadian site) and it's been pending approval from CFO since mid-late March.
Does this seem normal right now? Or should I be concerned about the time it's taking?

When I initiated a transfer earlier this week I was told transfers in Ontario were taking 6 weeks to get approved.

Since what date in March? I don't believe the CFO's of this country were forced out of work due to the covid pandemic so it should be business as usual....

I was told they are working with a skeleton staff. The lady I talked to said she was alone in the office.

Literally just got approved 10 minutes ago to send a pistol that I sold to a CGN' er in Ontario on March 17th, I'm sure he will be a happy guy, that's about 6 weeks!

I ordered a restricted from a store in Ont on April 13 and it shipped on the 23rd. Just lucky I guess.

AB is usually same day. I just did my end of the transfer yesterday morning and I just got approval notice, so about a day and a half with current slow down.

You always deal with the buyer's CFO, so if you aren't in ON you would not be affected.

I just called the CFO to inquire, and they told me Ontario processing times were 8 weeks before Covid, so, back to playing the waiting game.

I know they are short staffed right now, the person I deal with for range stuff, got moved to transfers

Can you imagine ordering a golf club and having to wait over two months for it?

x2...and said club being $1000s...and you gotta factor in another week or 2 for shipping times too once finally approved
