Henry Single Shot Rifle

The reason id want a single henry in 4570 would be for the lighter weight bullets up to 405gr. Maybe cast 500gr bullets at modest velocity as well. My current 4570 is a sxs so changing bullets really screws up the regulation. I also hate downloading my 458wm. Not sure how a 300gr hp will hold up at 24-2650fps from my 458wm. Move that bullet at 1800fps im sure it would do just fine
The reason i havent picked one up is im waiting to see if they do a case hardened version

There is a spring mod to lighten the trigger on these rifles . There's a thread on it on grey beards outdoors.

Good to know! I was just looking at one of these online and when I checked the reviews the trigger seems to be the main thing people don't like.

Anyone have any experience working on the trigger on these?

Henry single shot rifles look good, but some have trigger qc issues. Sent one back for a trigger defect,,,, creep, drag, click, creep,,, bang. New one was not much better, crept its way up to a 9lb trigger pull- buh-bye….sold it without firing a shot. Too bad, it would have been handy.

Thats too bad. The trigger is the one thing that keeps showing up as an issue with these rifles in reviews. I found the thread on Grey Beards Outdoors, and their fix is a simple spring swap which was bringing triggers down to 3-4 lbs. Seriously considering one of these...
