Blind hole. It is slightly offset from the bore axis as well. This is to prevent conversion to semi-auto.
Perfect. That's exactly what I was thinking.

Even without a ban, could make a cool NR SBR.
My thoughts exactly! Short barrels not a problem with these as long as we have our 26 inches collapsed. Very interested!
Just an update for everyone!
We are finished programming the upper and we are now finishing off the lower programming. The bolt body is finished as well, but we do need to make more vise jaws for it.

Wasn't there a prototype that had ambi ejection ports as well?

I’m wondering what the shortest barrel we could use would be, if we were using a rifle-length, A2 stock - 10.5? or would we have to go up to 12?Out of curiosity- Is the length of the upper receiver close to the OAL of a AR lower receiver (8.7ish inches)? I know you mentioned bolt body is shorter so wonder if you shortened the receiver a bit as well? Just thinking about build options and what would need for barrel/ stock length to keep over 26 inches.
Thanks!
Yes, as long as the whole firearm is over 26" when it can fire.
You could make something like those new Remington shorties.
