Okay, I'm reloading for a 7mm SAUM, I am using RCBS dies

The bullets are seated as per factory ammo and Lee manual

every time I chamber a round, it gives me more resistance then with a factory round and when I try to extract the non fired round, I have to hit the bolt open???

I am using once fired brass and I have also tried using new brass

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong???

Sounds like your cases are not sized down enough.

Do you FLR your new cases before using them? Do you neck size or FLR used cases?

.

Maybe you should try full length sizing.

Plus, you should check your cases length with a caliper. But I don't know the suggested length for this caliber, you should have it in your books. Trim/deburr them as necessary,

My bad,

I just need to learn how to read insrtuctions!

I am used to using Lee Dies

I got it all figured out

With the high pressure of that round your cases will grow, I have the same problem with my 6.5-270WSM, if you want to neck size you may have to move to a bushing bump die, to bump the shoulder and size the neck, otherwise you will have to FL resize at the others have suggested.

I did the same thing with a 7mm RUM cases i sized them right t the bottom , but they needed a little extra compresses like stroke to chamber free!

Thats a very common problem with magnum rounds neck sizing or bumping them, and what sucks is one time they will fit and the next time they wont, and you pulling bullets unless you chamber them before you add the powder.

Great Question to ask and post!
