The OIC has hit milsurps

Simple choices - indicate a willingness to go to jail by the thousands in protest or armed revolution.

Since Canadians lack the balls for the latter, it means the first option is our best bet. That and supporting the law suits of the CCFR and Solomon Friedman on behalf of TENDA.

We've been a long time coming to this point and the Libs have taken advantage of the 'perfect storm' created by the pandemic to bring their long anticipated disarmament program into being. It caught us flat footed and off guard. If an election was held tomorrow, the Libs would win as they can do no wrong in Ontario and Quebec.

A third option - Wexit. Confederation is a long dead dream in any case. Could the west be any more worse off than currently?

What we do (or don't do) in the next couple of years will determine the future of the country in all ways, not just firearms ownership. It's a turning point in our history. How do we want to be remembered by our grandchildren?

Sending good people to prison has historically been very bad politically

The directorate of controlled goods give an exemption for pre-1946 material. Even the US State department gave an exemption for pre-1956 material. These jackasses have effectively closed off the collection of these historical items from the private collector.
I have several pieces of now prohibited items on loan to the local DND museum. Once things open up again, I guess I can collect them and bring them home, and they will not be available for loan again.
As if the threat of Covid, and the potential of job loss, were not enough, now I have to suffer under the loss of a good deal of assets.

######s.

sorry to hear that. i assumed most collectors didnt see this coming. im wondering after covid can you move them back cos trudeau said it cant be transported now.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that EVERYTHING Hitler did regarding "gun control" was in accordance with the law of the land at the time.

Both Hitler and Trudeau wrote their laws on the fly to suit the current agenda and narrative.

They knew that the law-abiding German population would comply, fearful of (a) retaliation and (b) killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

As long as JT is handing out the goodies and continuing to hold the country hostage, he is in total control.

Only massive, total, COMPLETE non-compliance will get and keep his attention, IF (and it's a BIG IF) we can get ALL gun owners to take a stand.

There are not enough police or resources to jail ALL of the people who take such a stand.

We either have the guts to do this or we lose everything near and dear to us that we have treasured for generations.

Riel was right! JT said so by exonerating him as a champion of his people to the point of armed revolution.

I like this post ^^^^
well said

Of course collectors didn't see this coming. How could they? Trudeau's election promise was 'assault rifles' and the Nova Scotia murderer was smuggled guns. It's bad enough he pulled his useless ban on one of those (ignoring the other which was the actual problem) but who would have thought he'd sneak in antiques? Nothing is what it appears with this boy and his cult.

I remind all of you that we were TOLD by the Liberals what the agenda was a loooong time ago.

Lloyd Axworthy (Foreign Affairs Minister), Alan Rock (Justice Minuster), Sharon Carstairs (Senator) TOLD us that "gun control has nothing to do with public safety and EVERYTHING to do with rendering Canada into a gun-less society within a few generations."; a society where only the army and police have guns.

In other words - a POLICE STATE !!!!

They are well on their way to achieving that and it happened on our watch.

Gun control is leftist code talk for people control. Become politically active and fight back; there are more than guns at stake here!

Recently MP Dan Albas from Central Okanogan sent out an email and I believe a release in his local newspaper, concerning exactly what Purple is talking about.

I had a lot of people call me about the release. It completely went over their heads. They felt that MP Albas was trying to turn the firearms issue into something other than it is.

Firearms and Freedom go hand in hand. The Liberals/NDP/BLOC/Greens know this very well. They knew it before the last election when they literally bulldozed C71 through all of the Parliamentary/Senatorial processes to get it passed. They fully intend to bypass Parliament on changes to firearms regulation, unconstitutional or not. It's just the beginning it's going to be escalated in a manner that will cover much more than just firearms.

The thing is, when OICs were first brought in back in I867 and their use and scope have been expanded ever since.

Back in the sixties, there was an obvious move by the government of the time to expand the way OICs could be used. They purposely passed a and UNDERFUNDED BUDGET, that would run out of money during the summer recess. All hell broke loose on the stock markets and in social revenues that summer. The House was called back into session to pass a surprisingly quickly written Budget extension bill.

All of the parties were miffed that their summer recess had been violated and demanded a way to make sure this wouldn't happen again. So they increased the scope and powers of OICs to include financial matters.

Understand, up to that point OICs were seldom used, most Parliamentarians didn't even know such a venue to add to existing legislation and bypass Parliamentary procedure even existed. Most Canadian plebes STILL DON'T KNOW ABOUT OICs and how dangerous to their rights and freedoms they really are.

Of course, back in those days, the Parliamentarians and Bureaucrats assured Canadians that OICs would never be used to bypass Parliament on anything important. NEVER TRUST A LIBERAL, LYING IS SECOND NATURE TO A LIBERAL and their APPOINTED BUREAUCRATS, who may just be the real power behind the throne.

Unintended Consequences.........

Yes !!!

This book by John Ross should be on everyone's reading list right now! You can bet the government has, hence all the guns now banned, including 20mm Lahtis, Solothurns, etc.

Ross was prohibited from bringing copies of his book into Canada for a signing tour. You can download it as copies of it are rare and expensive.

I've heard it described as a handbook for insurgency.

To be honest, I dont think anyone would use a BIG gun for NORMAL homicides, just too heavy and bulky. I think the reason is that there is a drama teacher worrying about the bullets that his armored car cannot take.

That, and if you see it as anything other than a tool (ie. you actually enjoy it for sport or history or whatever) you are 'fetishizing' it. Yes he actually said that.

On a related note the Trudashians gave now announced that they're giving anyone in receipt of OAS a one time tax free payment of $300. I don't want any stink'in Trudeaubucks, so mine will become a donation to the CPC. There's some satisfaction, and a touch of irony, in that, I suppose.

300 bucks didn't buy your vote? What if they throw in a defective R95 mask? They're confused now, it's always worked before.

Those "Trudeaubucks" you don't want were accumulated by the OAS recipients who paid into the fund all their working lives while raising kids, working and paying taxes.

With a statement like that it almost sounds as if you're expecting fairness, justice or accountability from our current friends in Ottawa.

No. I expect nothing of the kind from our friends in Ottawa - of any political stripe.

If you're going to get bent out of shape over a paltry $300 one time yax free payment to OAS recipients (money THEY contributed over a lifetime), you must be losing sleep over the handouts to Bombardier and other big businesses.

Not to mention the billions to the inept WHO and other agencies and favourites of the Liberals.
