Your Ol Faithful?

I always seem to grab my dad's old rifle, a 93 Mauser in 7x57. I wouldn't want to guess how much game it's taken. He used it for decades and I have used it constantly since I got it in the late 70's.

Please post a picture if you can. Those are some of the nicest looking hunting rifles, especially after many years in the bush and on the field!

Here are a couple of pictures Ted.
I replaced the stock, trigger and safety in the late 80's. The sporter stock that my dad had on it was cracked so I decided to update the rifle to what was comfortable for me. I have never regretted it. It may be a little different from when he had it but I love it and use it every year.
He is still with us at 91 and it always makes him happy when I bring home game that his old rifle took.

A Remington 700 BDL in 30-06 shooting 165gr Barnes tsx’s. I’ve lost track of all the deer, moose and bears it has put down over the years. This rifle will never be sold and will be handed down to one of my sons when they come of age.

I have a hard time picking between the two, Rem 700 or Sako AV both in 30-06. 130 grain TTSX in the Rem and 150 grain Accubonds in the Sako. Both are killer on Whitetails.

Me old Cooey 39. Done got more critter boppin' & plinkin' fun from this little bugger than any rifle I've owned. Had 'er since '69.
Best 5 bucks I ever spent. :d

That bottom 358 is a very nice rifle Hoyt.

Mine was either my sako a7 in 270 or my t3 338 wm but they have both moved on in a recent brutal culling of my guns.

A rifle I never think of selling is my CZ 527 in 7.62x39.
