Emergency Response Team - pics

From Northern Manitoba last summer, these guys were among the crew looking for the two murdering little creeps who'd gone on that cross-country spree. I like that the RCMP is gradually 'getting it' that hearing protection while having ears open for potentially important input is actually useful. Might be nice for citizens too, especially while hunting. Even a fairly large bear can be quite sneaky, never mind cougars, and with plugs in the ears that can present considerable danger. Then there's potential damage to a dog's hearing, fellow hunters' hearing...

These Tacticool Operators from the ERT are a effin' joke. How did two young pschos get from BC to MB undetected?

When they figured out the pair was in Northern, MB_Gillam area if I remember they still couldn't locate the two sobs

despite thermal imaging aircraft. Couldn't find a hooker in a whorehouse.

Had to stand down because the cowards had offed themselves days before their bodies were found.

As usual RCMP HQ spin doctors went to work and to this day very little details they want to share

with the public. Sound familiar? Oh yeah, the NS massacre. Gotta cover our asses, nothing for

you folks to hear/see move along please.

So you're also saying the aircrew of the CF aircraft were useless as well. Cool beans.

You don’t have any idea about the circumstances of the incident either I see. More uninformed nonsense.[/QUOT\]
Please enlighten us or shut your trap. Hostage hit twice by police force? Give your head shake.

I know exactly what happened there and the circumstances relating to the entry and the mess that awaited inside. You have zero clue so why don’t you take your own advice and stop blathering about something you know nothing about.

Think of the lambasting these cops would receive if they were wearing kit that was outdated, cheap, low-end, entry-level etc.

I'd only have a problem with it if they were issuing this kit to regular officers lol

Yes Reggie, yes. I am in awe of your superior insight and connections. I just wanted to give you an opportunity to show everyone - again- how you know everything. Moving on.

Why are emergency response police now covering their faces all the time now? I can understand protecting your face if there is a threat of fire and/ or heat flash if your actually doing some kind of action. However, if you are just walking or standing around why cover your face? Not good optics for "peace officers".

Let's be real here, I don't think most of us would have a problem with what the cops here are outfitted with IF WE WERE ALLOWED TO OWN THE SAME STUFF. As it stands everyone is angry that we're being forced to stay cooped up inside because of the virus and double angry that our guns are being banned without due process and theres seemingly nothing we can do about it. Honestly I am slightly pissed when I looked at these pics and realize that that i can't own body armor without a permit, I'll possibly never own the AR15 I always dreamed of and suppressors will likely never be legal either but hey if you join the horse cops and do your 6 months of training or whatever it is suddenly the laws for the serfs don't seem to apply to you anymore. Basically I'm unhappy that the most law abiding segment of society(licensed gun owners) seemingly can't be trusted with anything but sticks but if you're part of a government entity you can have whatever you want.

My news feed spews up the odd bit of content from the NY Times (shudder), and today one headline grabbed my attention. Something like 5% of the greater NYC area population evacuated between mid-March and early May, based on cellphone tracking. Seems the bulk of those people were in the top 20% in terms of wealth, and that almost all those in the top 1% who reside within that region left. Where'd they go? Mostly to nearby communities, at more of an arms-length from NYC proper. Gee, I wonder why? Perhaps because... they could?

Similar reasoning with our leadership. They don't have the education, training, nor the intelligence to start making a dent in the gang crimes of our bigger cities. Nor even the inclination, I suspect. So what do they do? Hunker down (in 'cabins' and 'cottages' to use the official euphemisms for JT's place and the one his wife took the kids to before Easter), then rally the troops (RCMP) to confiscate anything which might support any insurrections. Not that any of us were considering open rebellion. That's not the point. Just as was the case with the wealthy of NYC leaving town to avoid any potential meltdown of societal norms, so our federal leadership is busy fending off imaginary failures of manners at the level of zombie apocalypse. Karl? KARL? KARL!?

But fear not little blackface/brownface/sock-in-pants Justin, we're not foaming at the mouth to come after your wealth. We just want to keep what we lawfully own. And by lawfully, we're not referring to any made-up regulations designed to cover for RCMP ineptitude. Think about the 20+ drive-by shootings over the long weekend in Toronto. How many of those involved lawfully owned, or even unlawfully held AR-15 or other 'scary black military grade assault weapon type' rifle? None. Right, JT? Right, Bill Blair? Gangsters almost never use rifles. They almost never use legally purchased or even legally status 'registered' pistols. They import their gear through back channels, those channels which you guys should be watching instead of wasting OUR time and OUR money on prohibitions and 'buy back' schemes which are not even disguised theft of legally owned property.

Does camouflage help with gun fights? Is there any evidence to prove what you're suggesting?

Well it depends on the location and what they are doing. Couple years back the RCMP HRT did a woods creep into a grow op location out in the middle of nowhere. In that case, yeah if you are wearing camo and are harder to see then I would expect a lot less incoming fire than the guy standing near you dressed all in the standard black.

what war are these guys geared up for?
fuggen mall ninjas to the extreme LOL
ridiculous

If these were mall ninjas, theyd be wearing mall camo, ie Nude coloured skin suits bright pink underwear on top to look like window mannequins

Lol at the gators tho thats fruity

Ever walked 10 km with wet soggy boots?

they looks like troops occupying a enemy country full of insurgents: us

Probably at least a few of them feel that way.

100% agreement. Really, how many close quarter battles or low light engagements are our local RCMP ERT involved in?

To put things in perspective, 3 armored vehicles will pay for minimum 30 officers at the border for a year. What do we think would be more beneficial for police officer and citizen safety? 30 extra boots on the ground searching every container that comes into Canada for guns or drugs or armored vehicle that stops 50cal?

Good kit but complete waste of tax payer money by having it issued to Police Departments.

I will see if I have some of our price lists, and if I do. I can do a $$ cost breakdown of the kit per officer.q

According to several use of force instructors I have trained with, between 60 and 80% of all police use of force engagements happen at night.

Also, you either are grossly under estimating how much a cop costs, or grossly over estimating how much one of these armoured vehicles cost. Most of the popular models are between 300K and 700K. Your average cop with benefits, training, administration etc, etc, probably costs 200k a year.

But even two cops a year would be a better spend than one armoured vehicle.

The biggest threat to freedom and democracy is a full time fighting force with nothing to do.

IF it didn't help, no one would would bother.

People can't hit what they can't see. Sneaking up on someone before they can identify an adversary can offer result in apprehension without a shot fired. Getting spotted early gives the opponent time to plan and act.

Seriously look at the map of where this call was. Its on the outskirts of town with huge wooded areas. Green Camo is perfectly reasonable for ERT who might have to operate in the field, as opposed to the city, which is probably all of them. I don't understand why this is complicated.

Yeah, maybe they don't all need the best STANO equipment, or we don't need so many of them, but green uniforms is pretty basic and low cost concept. They need to wear SOMETHING, might as well be green.

You would think all the airsofters posting in this thread could figure out the need for concealmeant.

You have no clue. I go to my local Superstore and find a fully kitted out TST member_with carbine standing near the exit.

WTF I think to myself. I go up to him and ask him if there's an active shooter in the store. You should have seen the look he

gave me. I asked whether that carbine was used to take lives or preserve them_no answer.

I later checked up on this guy_he was working overtime as security because of liquor store robberies happening_I just shook my head.

I was going to ask him if they ever taught him the 21 ft. rule at the academy_ Tacticool idiot_has a knife about a foot down clipped on his vest.

Nuff said.

Sure you did kid.

Thousands may not believe you, but we will here.

Please post more exciting tales. Yours are pretty neat.
