I'm guessing around $1200 if russian capture go for $1500?
A Yugo capture(if there is such a thing) is worth $600 or so. An RC is worth nowhere near $1500 as they are a mismatched pile of crap. Don't know where these prices come from? I sold a BYF 41 bolt mismatch in a Norwegian stock for $650 a couple years ago and that was with a WW2 German sling ( a $150 value right there). Why anyone would throw $1500 for an RC is a mystery when they could get a matching rifle original for around 2K. Just my opinion.
I wouldn't pay $300 for a RC K98. They have been Really Dinked Hard, Pimped and Rode Hard and Put Away Wet by Ivan and Svetlana in the Old County.
It's a Disaster to look at. That's all they sold for when they first came out.
As a truck gun and dragging it through the mud, Yes, it will do what you want it to like a reliable rusty pipe wrench.
As a Collectable, No. Too Rough with the Refurb. A Chimp could have done a better job!

Like Czech rebuilds, not all the Yugo k98s are the same. There were a couple different arsenals, different crests, some have carefully scrubbed receivers and applied crests, some have almost unsanded stocks, some have mostly milled parts, etc. And some of them look like a drunk with a grudge worked them over with a right angle grinder.
Weimajack had a couple nice examples up for $950 and they sat forever. I sold two here recently for $650 shipped (they went fairly quickly) and another locally for $800 but that last one was really nicely marked and had an almost new blonde stock.
And who the f#$& paid $1500 for an RC ????

The guy sold them for 950+tax, no one is left now.
Eh, $2500 parts bin Garands are a thing so why not.
Either way, i think every k98 enthusiast should own at least one each: Czech, Israeli, Yugo, RC. The post war history is just as interesting as the war time stuff, and they’re just as much fun to shoot.
