I've been looking for that Nagant revolver with the actuating cylinder that eliminates the revolver gap but have been having no luck on the EE. Anyone have any leads from their local gun shops that don't have an internet presence?

I disagree. These quite accurate revolvers with proper reloads fun to shoot. Plus
They are collectible as well

I know that my example is particularly nasty. Beautiful condition, but the trigger pull is HORRIBLE. I've shot others which are a little smoother. Would be interesting to try handloads sometime.

Yes they all have military triggers designed to outlast soldiers that carried them. There are non intrusive tricks to them to reduce trigger pull. In the field officers would put 30 cal bullet between main spring and trigger guard and put side plate back on. This would cut effort in half.

I have one that is in original, unrefurbed condition. The bluing is almost gone, lots of pitting from handling, and the ejecting rod has been replaced with what looks like part of the cleaning rod from a Mosin Nagant. It has a 1934 date stamp, and I can only imagine the history behind it.....
