Export to USA

I'm curious about this to and would be interested to hear what the criteria is.

I would sooner donate my AR to a freedom loving American FOC than give it to greasy Bill Blair so the Turd Reich improves his chances of getting a UN security council seat.

It's a pretty safe bet to say the AR will never see the light of day in Canada again, even if we do have the honor of keeping them.

In which case I would hand mine over to in-laws in the states, today, if possible.

At least I'd get a chance to use them a couple of times a year.

I’m willing to pursue options, I’m thinking of exporting to the USA, buy or rent a storage unit, and go across the line to enjoy them, from time to time... I d like to hear from anybody whose done it. I’m gonna fight too, but .... I’m looking at “ plan B” too.!

It can be done on the exporting.

But right now priority 1 is fighting them on all levels.

We have too see what options we have.

The initial legal challenges have begun so let’s start raising money if you can and donating to these orgs and start pushing back, also getting on the offensive is key.

Support CPC, start getting every person you know to sign the petition for starters. Join all the orgs and donate again if you can.

1. We have legal option
2. Political

5. Exit Canada to USA possibly ask asylum. We are after all a targeted group which the argument could be made is a human rights violation.

My cousin has an FFL in Texas. Looked into it and ARs and such get exported with an end user certificate. Cannot be reimported to US. This is likely why businesses can’t send them back to the US as well.

A little less than 2 years to go and you are ready to bend over and drop your underwear??? Give me a break!!!!

You gotta admit, we won't ever see former restricteds, going to non-restricted. True, we may see confiscationables going to safequeens, at best.

But I agree, do nothing except fight for for your rights 'till the eleventh hour. A lot can legally change by then.

This just happened this month. They haven't even released the fine print, legal challenges have barely even started, and already there's people looking for the exit.

Nothing personal op, but it floors me how many threads and posts people have made asking about this all over the forums and the government hasn't even released the details yet. There's even a thread dedicated to this very topic in the subforum of an Alberta based 3rd party importer, one of the handful in Canada.

I think it is reasonable for people to be looking at their options for these firearms. I know personally I have over 10k worth of prohibited ARs at this point. I'm happy to hang on to some and fight the good fight with everyone. However looking to see if some finances can be recouped is the prudent thing to do. Especially to free up funds to support the various litigation.

and the government just won making you even contemplate export your AR... not even a month ago, and the legal battles are just starting and your ready to abandon ship with your puny collection.

If you want to pay money to deactivate and maybe sell to ASIAN country that pays $$$ for that may be a better option, but deactivating is a SIN in my views...

Didn't say I was abandoning ship anywhere. In fact said the opposite if you read closely. I'd love to have an extra $2500 in my pocket right now to donate to the CCFR or add to the funding of the OIC challenge I'm involved with. I've already put out a retainer for mine, and donated to CCFR, NFA and TSE challenges. I will continue to do so. Since when did getting information and knowing your options become a bad thing?
