LOL now that the scope is sorted out I'm wondering what it tips the scale at. The forestock must add a bit of weight to it.

Beauty of a rifle.

This is my newest "Backpack/ATV/Truck-Gun". It is a Troy Pump-Action Rifle (PAR) with a 9" .300 Blackout Barrel, producing a manually-operated firearm 30" long and weighing 7 lbs that launches .30 cal projectiles with ballistic properties similar to the Russian 7.62x39mm standard military intermediate cartridge. Hits out to 300m on the vitals of a deer-sized animal are easily managed. Really though, I carry it mostly for peace of mind as a legal last line of defence against the local Bear threat in the Northern Alberta wilderness. It fits very handily into its forward mount on my ATV!

Just added the scope for the pic ,haven t gotten around to getting new rings yet

Still a beautiful rifle, either way. I'm a big fan of Brno. First-class woodwork, and looks like a good choice of scope, too. Love to see a picture of the final set-up, once you get the mounting sorted.

Nice wood on the BRNO, might be a good one to carry.

In AB we can’t hunt off a quad unless it’s private land, so having an ATV rifle is less of a thing, and not really a bear defense thing if your tearing around on a noisy ATV anyways, but if it makes you happy bring it.

Maybe indigenous folk can bypass the quad hunting thing, but we mostly only use a quad for retrieving game.

Thinks he’s in a wheel chair, I know in bc they have permits for disabled hunting and shooting for a vehicle or a motorized vehicle. But bear Defense on a quad, yeah that’s Pretty rich eh
