Does anyone know of any compatible holsters for the 4.25" Alfa Proj 9mm? Picture of my model below. Just looking for one that has retention in preferably leather. Every store seems to be sold out. I am not above using a holster that fits good enough

Well if it's the same and it works for you.... the one pictured at TEC for $15 looks pretty fresh.

Do you want the retention strap or just good retention? Does it need to be belt mounted or would a shoulder holster work?

The M3 Victory replica holsters are nice, but it sort of depends on what your doing with it and if your range is casual on holster types.

Was looking for retention strap. I have a fobus one but it excessively wears the blueing and does not retain at all. I was looking for belt mounted. If I can't find anything I might settle for the safariland

Nice holster, but i thought Alfa Proj needed an "L" frame size holster; these are K frame.

It's a bit on the snug side, definitely does not need the retention strap.... :)
If you push on the holster with your thumb a bit while drawing it's not to bad and though I've never done it you could modify the holster to make it looser.

I've been using a simply rugged sourdough pancake I picked up on the EE so I never bothered modifying the safari land.

I'd buy one too, but I have a GP100; it would be very tight I think; may need grease and a hammer to get it in LOL.

The Safariland TEC sells is a duty style, very stiff and sits off set of the belt. The barrel length is perfect but the cylinder does flex the holster open a bit going in and out. There are two notches in the holster that lock the cylinder in place... it will not come out unless you pull it out firmly and it helps to use your strong hand thump to push off the holster a bit. There is no wobble or play when the gun is holstered.

The construction has a molded plastic liner sandwiched between the leather for support and it looks like it wouldn't be that hard to modify it for less retention and you could also put a spacer in between the area of the holster below where the trigger guard sits to spread it open a bit.

Probably not the best holster if your worried about holster wear, but the finish on the Alpha's is not exactly Smith and Wesson blueing.... :)

If I was using it more I'd remove the thumb strap and do a bit of heat molding, spacer work so it could be drawn without having to push off with the thumb.

Might not be the best for your needs but the price is right and it's got some potential.

That model fits pretty nice in classic 4" revolver leather hostlers that are cheap on the used market due to 4"ers being prohibited.

$15 at TEC

I had/ have a couple of those, one was vg, the other good, heavy as hell. I found that a heat gun you could change the shape, for a standard straight drew . Ex police, you have to push ahead and than lift. There is plastic between the leather layers and a bit of heat and you can shape the top.
Well made, bulky, but at the price can't beat them. I did a bit of customizing on the one. There is some adjustment in them.
I don't know what the A.P. size is , I would think about a K frame, I do have a L frame 4 or 4 1/2 inch ? composite one , my k frames are a bit loose in it. and don't have a L frame anymore. BTW the ones I got has straps, thump break.
