Savage Model 10T-SR magazine's

Yes, they are same as the model 10 FCP magazine.

AICS DBM for a Savage is hard to come by, complicated by the various action screw lengths and bolt releases, hence why most Savage upgrades are chassis.
Atlasworx, CDI and PT&G all make some form of DBM, getting it in Canada is another story.

Well, not just MDT. KRG, XLR, Ashbury, Oryx, Drake associates etc all make versions for savage actions. MDT is just very common due to the variety of chassis they produce, along with their high quality.

AICS pattern magazines are pretty much the defacto industry standard.
 
As mentioned, they do take the proprietary Savage magazines which are okay, but not great. There's a ten round model available for .308 and one of those 6-something calibre as well.

Take a look at the Target and Precision Rifle sub-forum, there's a thread running right now with a method for converting your bottom bolt release Savage to a top bolt release (basically, either change the sear if you can get the part, or make your own top release lever).

The 10T-SR has 4-7/16" or 4.4375" action screw spacing. If you look around, a lot of the Savage Model 10 DBMs advertise 4.4" screw spacing... so, you're very much left to wonder if that'll work on your rifle, or not. You might luck out and find a DBM that will work, or you could be out a few hundred dollars.
 
last year i did some research for 10T sr, and i think the cheapest bottom metal i can find was over 200$, so i waited till Black Friday and got a factory second MDT LSS, i can't remember how much was it, maybe around 300$.
 
If you are going Savage in a chassis, look at the Savage Elite Precision line. Might be easier and cheaper to sell what you have and simply buy a new rifle.
