I was looking into the updated frt stuff in one of the forums. They’ve apparently prohibited all flintlock and percussion shotguns, single and doubles, in all gauges.

Listed as unknown single and double barrel flintlocks and percussion and all gauges 4-8-10-12-16-20-24-410

I’m very confused. It’s the update on shotguns under Armayletics. In the firearms and politics discussions and alerts. Titled firearms reference table last months version?

Well they could have been "weapons of war" 150 years ago! Don't cha know!

Doesn't get any more fudd than that!
I just love the level of incompetence this shows if true. Flintlock longguns are classed similar to Airsoft FFS. Don't even require a PAL.

You must be careful to check barrel length, as all firearms technically have a prohibited entry for one reason or another

I caught the OIC inclusion too. But, I think it is the laziness of the FRT on display not conspiracy. As the registry was being populated, the verifiers needed a number for unknown side-by-side shotguns. That number is the same for the tiniest of 28 gauges through to massive punt guns, percussion and flinter. If there was no way of identifying something, that is what it got. Are they all banned? No, but yes. No because only the biggest bores are on the really really bad gun list. Yes because so are all the other shotguns lumped under that garbage pail FRT number. Who will sort this out? Probably a judge with enough expert testimony.

I just figured it out. This covers unnamed single shot and double barrel shotguns. Flintlock percussion and cartridge. Because there’s no name they listed them all with the same FRT number and listed the category as affected by ban. As you scroll down you can side scroll on each gun. All the percussion and cartridge 4ga and 8ga are listed as prohibited, the rest of the list is listed as none restricted and antiques. Heart sorta was skipping a few beats till I sorted it out. I’ll include the frt numbers so you guys can have a look. Frt #72015 and frt#67425

You’ll note a number of double barrel and single barrel 12-20 and .410 shotguns made the prohibited list

it doesn't matter if they go prohib, if they are antiques. They will just be both prohib and antique. Antiques are exempt from certain parts of the FA remember.

Not trying to rain on your parade but our unholy alliance continues to hold the narrative.
A few short weeks ago the official definition of firearm grandfathering took a disturbing unscheduled left turn into oblivion.
Each day is a dark surprize since 1 May.

At the moment there appears to be no exemption for antique, as applies to bore diameter prohibition. Also the RCMP definition of bore size is the largest diameter of the bore, exclusive of the chamber. That means 12 guage guns with removeable chokes as well as many antique shotguns. It also applies to flare guns and candy cannons and many more

I have to hope that at some point some common sense will creep in and antique and emergy and industrial guns will be exempted
