Pickes up a couple boxes today. For $20.99 a box it seems like a decent deal.

Any idea who makes the brass?
Looks to me possibly a Winchester product. But don't know for sure. Good deal in brass if it is

I shot some 308 Win 150 and 180 gr groups this am. Wind from 50-70 km/h this morning in NE Saskatchewan. My groups with the 180 gr Bullets were worse than those. The first groups I shot though were with the 150 gr Herters and the groups were 1-1.5 inches with my Savage Scout. I was happy with that for cheap ammo. Ended up ordering a bunch of boxes for plinking and for the brass.

I shot some of the Herters 180g thru my Rem700SPS 20" last Fall and had similar results - 8 shots in a group about 2-1/2"W x 5"H. This was with a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40. My LGS has Barnaul SP in 145 & 168g and I found those were more accurate than the Herters 180g. The Barnaul is priced lower than the Herters (pre-Covid - LGS is raising prices :p was $13 + tx) The B-168g were as accurate for me as the Fed GM-SMK 168g at 180yds (200marked on target) The other holes are from prior days  I use Dollar store posterboard lots :):) and I save pics on postimage.org - NO 'watermarks' like PB !

You gguys shooting 180gr, what twist rate are your barrels.

I'm curious what their 22LR is like? I got 2 bricks and yet to get out to test.

I can't speak for accuracy, as we were just plinking. But I've been through 300 rounds now in a couple different 22s, and no issues. Even the Buckmark likes it, and she's a picky eater.

Incorrect, that article is back from 2014 and is out of date. Cabela's has Winchester manufacture the ammunition at this point. That being said I am referring to the herters ammunition you can buy in Cabela's Canada. I do believe there is more variety of Herter's ammunition in the US (I've seen steel case ammo and other current production ammo with differing headstamps that don't seem to be available in Canada)
