Hunt with a fella that uses one in 28ga ya it’s pretty nice. He has never had a issue with it seems to be off good quality.
Headed to Italy For a shotgun build next year this year got canceled obviously. The sisters are not far up the road planning on going there as well.

The sisters are indeed a lovely trio but I'd not let that influence my decision to purchase one of their guns.
I don't own a Fausti but I've looked at the DEA a couple of times and I think it would be a pretty nice gun. Probably the closest competition to it would be the Beretta 486 if you were thinking of a box lock DEA, the two are similarly priced. The trouble with Beretta is they only list it in 12 g while the DEA is available in 12, 16, 20, 28, 32 and .410
The entry level DEA with side locks (SL model I think) are probably comparable to an AYA #2 in price point but the more elaborate models go north from there quite rapidly, fancy costs a lot of money!
I did read an article about the DEA 28 gauge and the author said the gun weighed in at 4.95 lbs. Compared to my own AYA #2 in 28 g that weights 6 lbs even, this is a huge difference and one that I would want to give consideration to. I'm used to a heavy gun and when I shoot my 6 lb gun, especially at longer ranges, I have to keep telling myself to swing because the gun has no momentum like a heavier gun has and follow though is much more difficult. I can only imagine what it would be like with an even lighter gun, even my 410 sxs weighs 6.3 lbs!

Hey Jimmy, have you shot the HT yet? I got one about a year and a half ago and you could try mine if we're not too far apart.
At 4.95 pounds if anything it is extremely light in 28ga carry’s well in hand maybe just luck but his Fausti patterns better then any other 28ga I have seen with heavy game loads.

I didn't get to go to the factory for a custom order but the off the shelf gun with adjustable comb fits me well enough, love the gun. I'm jealous of you of course!
I have owned and used a Dea 20 gauge. Build quality was excellent at the price point, sold it because even though I shot it well it wasn't my kind of configuration, too picky I guess. Falcon Flyer, Beretta does indeed make the 486 in 20 and 28 gauge as well as 12, and with a choice of different stock configurations.

Being average while boring is a good thing for fit. Going with the adj comb as well but cast will be pretty straight very slight palm swell. 2mm raised rib with taper F/F 32 barrels.
Know lots of people that have gone to the factory before as you likely do as well some say good things some not so good. Going there are what you make of it I think.

I don't doubt what you are saying but I only saw 12 listed on their website. It wouldn't make any sense to only have them in 12 g.
Was mentioned how light some of them are was hunting Ruff grouse and had 5 or six land out of the forest on the side of the road in a big grass ditch Lots of space this is almost unheard of... Buddy passes me the Fausti perfect flush all birds up lots of time shot over with both barrels.
Guns half built been told.
Didn’t specify barrel weight but want it to balance In between the hands. With fixed chokes been told that will make it slightly lighter and no bulge for tubes. And some go to thin walls after to get away from P tubes.
