i was fed up of ending up in my basement, away from the family when i had to whip up a batch of brass...
Decided to build a portable version so i can clean, resize, trim, swage, prime and prepare trays while being around everybody! And doing so in broad daylight!
Of course when i load and seat i do so alone with only me and my head but this made brass prep much more enjoyable for me.20200606_091854.jpg

can't seem to be able to post pic upside up...
Help is welcome but you guys get the picture... Hahaha!
Cheers

Glad you don't have to strap yourself upside down :).

Another funny thing is that you apparently attached the picture through the Forum, but some members with my posts count have to go through hosts like postimage...

Yes I have a temporary setup: an ex stair step clamped on a broken (armed, backless and folding) chair.

No terrasse though...

I used to enjoy being alone in the basement without the other joys of my life. Occasionally I would teach one of the kids what reloading was all about.

I made a simple wood portable stand for my Reloading press so I could take it too the range. I have never sized with it but it worked perfectly to seat. Ran my beam scale on a levelled board on my dash. Sometimes I will hand prime while watching tv with the family. ( I check every round with calipers anyway )

It has nothing to do with post count. Buy a CGN team membership and support the site. It comes with other perks as well

Thats my next step! Smaller set up for the range!!

bolt the press or whatever tool you need to use to a 2x10 plank about 30cm/1 foot long. pay attention to the grain of the wood so you don't stress crack it when using it. bolt the device to the plank using countersunk bolts so the bottom of the plank is smooth. can also use a few thicknesses of plywood or laminated material. this unit can now be mounted to practically any table or surface simply by clamping it down with a pair of heavy duty C clamps. hint: put the clamps on upside down so they don't interfere with your working area and use clamps that are only just long enough so they don't tag your knees.
