Why wouldn't they fly of the shelvs. I have had one for 21 years. Gets fired about 3-4 times a year with corrosive ammo, around 500`1000 rounds per outing and a light cleaning after each outing and it just works. Ya they are not a super precision rifle but a great all arounder. Fantastic truck gun you can toss around and hey... if you break it, you can replace it inexpensively....

I sold my 2 sks a couple years ago for what I paid plus shipping. That would be UNDER $300 each. Apparently I need some fiscal glasses cuz my foresight sure isn't 20/20.....and they were Russians!
Too heavy: sounds like a personnal issue here, gym could help if 8 pounds is too heavy
Overpriced: even for $400 it is by far the cheapest reliable effective semi-auto rifle available
Accuracy: 9/10 shooters fault. Don’t expect sub-mo from it. 3-4 moa is what they were made for. My friend has one and he cannot shoot less than 8" at 100m, I grab it and do 3"
Last round bolt hold open: it is a feature from factory so yours was either dirty, bubba’d or using under powered ammo

I have m10x neck to neck comparison with sks -kd on my youtube. well m10x falls far behind , even if it were to cost 400$. I confirm m10x correctly installed charging handle flying away when shooting and all other above mentioned negative points. No BHO in a modern rifle is a strange choice in M10x. etc etc

The truth was much darker and not the spoon fed lies we were told by media, especially the nightly live broadcasts with Christine amanpour reporting live from the outskirts of Sarajevo..... while my wife, her brother and mother live in the basement of a concrete building while the war raged on. If you want to watch a movie that is non biased about the Sarajevo conflict, find the movie Sector Sarajevo. It is essential watching for every Canadian in that the entire documentary is told from the eyes and words of the Canadian soldiers who did their tours on those streets, from the soldiers right up to the commanding officer Mckenzie and is frustrations dealing with the UN and Canadian Government as well as his bartering deals with the serb and muslim commanders. They also reveal the truth that mujahidin fighters were joining the conflict from surrounding muslim nations...….. anyhow......
They agree though …… Canada is being Balkanized.... cultural genocide in a way. Multiple religions and cultures being rammed down our throats and "we" are bad for speaking out against it.... labelled racists.... xenophopes or whatever other fancy name the haters use. Now we have our leaders praising the Black Supremist hate group black lives matter and holy hell don't you dare say White Lives Matter or you are automatically a neo Nazi KKK loving criminal..... LOL

im a non muslim over 50 that got yugoslav potni list (your wife can tell you what it was in those days ..) so i got a little idea about it... it was not muslim catholic or orthodox as all were victims ... it was civil wars that all in that country saw coming but not because of religion ... there is no way a country with 3 officials religion and at least 6 official languages can make it ...
the wars started by slovenija then croatia and no muslim there ....
tito legacy was the problem a new president every year but still remember that is was not a paraside to live there it was a socialist dictatorship ... army and milija fixed all the issues. in sarajevo in the 80s army and police were protecting all churches and mosques so we all knew it was coming ...
you had fighters from all over the world in those wars not only for sarajevo and it is very short vision again to think one side was good while the others were not ... muslims sometimes associated with catholics (croats) and orthodox (serbs). you had even a orthodox general (serb from federal army that joined the muslims ...) never easy a civil war is complex let put aside many in few years ...

13 Russian and Chinese SKS's for sale on EE, probably a few more older listings. From shooter grade to very nice. Prices are creeping back down as the peak in sales is over. Average price is about $350 to $375 for a decent one. Those who want to move them, will adjust price down and set market value. Interesting how supply and demand works.

Bought my first house at the peak of the Vancouver market in 1994. Sold it at the bottom in 2000. Sold my second house at a fire sale price because I had to. A couple months later, the market kicked up 20%. Let's not even go into mutual funds.
Sold all my SKSs from $250-300. To make space for a couple ARs. What did that stupid decision get me?
I'm in a decision paralysis right now. I'm not gonna buy or sell any guns until the market stabilizes. However and whenever.
$100 up or down for a gun is not a big deal. We spend way more on ammo. (primers, powder, lead, heads)
It is a psychological thing. If I buy an SKS or two today at $375. I'm afraid tomorrow they'll drop 10% and I wouldn't be able to sleep a whole week.
