Sourcing a 9.2x62 barrel, recommendations plz

The Zastava bbl is only 0.560" @ the muzzle which IMO is too light for a 9.3x62. The ER Shaw is 0.625" which is a better weight. Still not that heavy for medium bore.

My Husqvarna is just under .590" at the muzzle. With the weight of the scope and a fairly hefty Griffin & Howe mount combined with the light muzzle, you get a lovely weight-between-the-hands feel. In contrast, my 7x57 is .625" at the muzzle, and it definitely feels barrel heavy, in spite of the scope. My 9.3 is one of the nicest handling rifles I've ever shouldered, in spite of pushing 9 lbs.

You're right about a 0.625" 7mm bbl being heavy. My 275Rigby is 0.600" and that is about as heavy as I would want. I think a teeny bit less (0.585") would be better.

Saying that, I just measured a 24" M700 30-06 sporter bbl which was 0.650" at the muzzle. I use this bbl as I am most familiar with this contour. Using this as a comparison, I think a 0.625" 9.3cal bbl would still be fairly light and probably handle well but that would also depend on bbl length, scope weight and the stock used.
