I am looking for information on loading data that people have successfully worked up for the 416 WSM that they may want to share.
There seems to be very little info any where about this one which surprised me.
I had mine out on the weekend for a walk and it went very well but I think the load was a little hot. Don't have anything to go on other than it felt similar to the 500 S&W.

Looking forward to any input or comments. Please PM if you don't want any details about load info on here.

I will get some pictures up soon.
It is based on the 300 WSM or 7mm WSM case necked out with brass max at 2.110.
My first load was based on a light 45/70 load.
Used 55.3 gr IMR4064 under a 350 gr Swift bullet (flat nose). COAL was 2.930. Was a hot load but no obvious stress on the brass just slightly flattened primers.
Will use crony next time to capture some flight data but am going to back off powder a bit.
Those first few shots were a closed eye affair with all the safety gear plus a "blanket" in case things went south LOL

Do a google search on the 416 B&M. Those guys have been necking that case all over the place and there are some forum posts with load data.

I like the 35 sambar.

Me too. I'm not crazy about any of the short, fat magnums but this one has my interest piqued. Looking at the pictures, it seems as though the case was made just right for a 35 caliber bullet. And the numbers seem like it'd smack anything it hits downrange pretty hard. IMO it's got a lot going for it and is hard not to like. I'll build one sometime in the coming few years.
