I Have Too Many Choices...Help Me Decide

I Have a Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 556NATO.

I have a lot of scope choices and can't decide what would be a good application.

Please look at the list and help me choose. All of these scopes I have in my "inventory".

I'm looking at minute of gopher out to 150-200 yds. Like a lot of others, I have a lot of 223 to use.

You will want low or medium rings. An AR style mount will be too high.I would use one of the scopes designed for an AR with dots/BDC reticle. a 16" barrel bolty is going to have similar ballistics to an AR, may as well use what you got to your best advantage.

Whatever 3-9x40 you like most. If you're shooting at tiny targets at 200yds you'll want as much magnification as you can get I would think.

I do have a Bushnell 5-15x kicking around the basement somewhere. I think 3-9x is probably enough for my needs. If not, I do have this one if I need it.

I currently have a Bushnell 3.5-21x50 DMR with H59 Reticle on 2 of my .22 rifles.

Burris 1 inch medium Zee rings allow for a 3 mm gap between the scope and barrel.

I would go with the Burris, or the AR Mod 1, but i think the Burris has better glass. Mine wears a Sig Whiskey.

Mine sends 75 grain HPBT's into ragged holes all day long, my only reason for a smaller optic is to keep the rifle light and handy, because these rifle's flat out shoot.

Burris Fullfield E1 is a VERY under rated scope. 3-9 is good for most everything but skunks and coons at ones feet

I would agree that for your purposes you should select a 3-9x40 or greater magnification.

you'll want the lowest possible rings you can.

Burris, Leupold, Warne, and Talley are great names.

Finally decided on Vortex Viper 3-9x40 Dead-Hold BDC with Vortex Pro Series Low rings.
