MDT XRS savage high country 6.5 prc pics.

just picked up the mdt XRS chassis for my savage 110 high country in 6.5 prc and i gotta say.. its pretty darn sweet. Not bad for $499.

My business partner just brought me his high country 7mm mag for scope mounting this morning.
These are very nice rifles, I may be biased as a Savage fan, but lately what they are coming up with in their higher offerings is a very refined product.

Been lot's of complaints of the high country being heavy,
As someone who shoots a 13lbs rifle offhand in the kneeling position, the 10lbs scope high country feels light enough for me!

Next week we're taking it out for an accuracy test, got him to buy an MDT scope rail, ARC M10 xtra low 30mm rings, and bushnell elite tactical LRTS 3-12x44 with bronze finish, and it's a near perfect match to the savage cerakote!

A 5-25x56 is definitely not a bush gun scope, ringing gongs will be perfect, did you weight your finished product with everything installed?

What kind of brake is that?

VG6 Gamma?
My VG6 Gamma on my 5.56 is identical but has 2 ports instead of 3.
Might have a different name for the 3 port, but definitely a VG6 brand brake.

It's a 10BA stealth and these are the medium MDT (obviously LoL) elite rings. The scope bell is just over 1/4" above the barrel, but ............... I'll probably have to get the next size up (high) rings because even with the cheek piece removed I can't quite get my head low enough without it being tilted over

Yes i have. Personally i really like it. Its been nice so far. Good glass and the turrets are really positive

havent had a chance to weight it. Is say its around 14 pounds

Does your XRS have a nasty injection mold hole behind the grip? Mine arrived with one...purely cosmetic, but I'll need to clean it up for my OCD.

was there anything wrong with the original high country stock. The reason i ask is because i have a high country stock that i was going to use on my savage 12FV.
