Big Bore Naval Guns on Battleships

If you look around on youtube, you can find film from 1908 of a 30.5cm, 50 caliber gun being made by Krupp.

It’s based on the caliber of the gun. A 8inch 50 cal gun is 8 inch diameter by 8*50 inches long, an 8 inch 30 cal gun is 8 inch diameter by 8*30 inches long
 
Does anyone know what happened to the 16 inch US built naval gun that used to be laying in the ditch at Redcliff Alberta?
I last saw it in the 1970’s laying beside the railroad tracks.
Massive gun. Somewhere in the photo pile I have a picture of the stamping on the breech.

Aha, I'm not the only one wondering over the years. One of my life's aims to find out. :) Saw it there when I was a kid, mentioned in a book about Canada's secret war, the name and author escape me at the moment. It was a surplus gun, intended for a British battle ship and sent to Suffield for ballistic research. Apparently, it fell of the rail car and was left there. Someone mentioned it had been relocated and was on display at the base. I'd like to see the stampings on the breech, would be interesting. Here's the book.

Grizz I will dig around and try to locate the photo I took years ago on my little 110 Agfa.
Stamping were as crisp as the day it was built.
The story I heard was it weighed more than they could lift and load off the rail car and they just left it where it fell.
When I was there in the 70’s there was also a small mountain of broken glass on the other side of the highway destined to add to stucco on houses.
Recycling back in the day!

When I saw it, it was still covered in preservative.
