This came out of a box of parts. The gentleman who had it came from an era where it likely cannot be FSU...he quit dycking with rifles before the wall came down. I'm thinking Mauser or LE

It has that peculiar little smooth brass capture nut to prevent further disassembly.
Somebody wants it badly to complete unsporterising a rifle...lets help them out. In the spirit of fairness, we'll go with an average of any prices that members see fit to put forth. Got to hate when a member asks for pricing help then charges as though it's off Harvey Lee's Carcano, eh?

Ohh yeah it may be that. Im not soo familiar with those.

Although id assume they would be closer to the long lee/ LEC type band. Normaly they they and cut cost and do less work as time go on.

I still vote mauser. But we will see what others say. Im only like 75% sure. But 100% sure its not a LE band

Need your input on a price point to come up with an average...20 $ for run-of-the-mill Mauser? That's kinda what I'm thinking.
Best way for a fair asking price...unless I need it of course.

The shape of the band to me screams carcano but I don’t know if any carcano a had bands that screwed together at the bottom like that.

Middle or rear band for P1853 Enfield 3rd model long rifle and Snider conversion for same.

It doesn't look like any of the bands on my 1853 Enfield, 3-band Snider or Martini-Henry. I agree that it is likely from a BP era firearm. The shape suggests that it retains a barrel and not a top handguard.
