Henry Lever

start by sighting the gun in. bring a small wrench with you to loose the nut on the rear sight along with a brass tap and hammer....then use that to drift the sight left or right as needed. Mine needed minor adjustment but shoots quite well at 100m with irons. Mostly the only thing i'd ever even consider on a level would be a low power scope if needed. Its really just a timeless firearm with some patience involved with reload. I like mine, i have actually considered upgrading to a Browning BL-22 in stainless but after go to look at them they were nicer but not that amazing to demand double the price. My Henry is good enough.

Another question.... In the manual it talks about the "safe ####" position in 2 different ways. however my rifle doesnt seem to have the safe #### feature? or any safety at all?

No safety on Henry's. Marlin's have them. Henry's have a full #### and half #### position. Half #### is considered "safe ####".

It’s more like a 1/4 ####. With the hammer all the way forward and the gun proved safe of course, start slowly pulling the hammer back. You will hear a click then stop and release the hammer. The trigger will be locked in place and the hammer will be out of contact with the firing pin.

You should also be able to drop the hammer to half #### from the full #### position by carefully holding the hammer, releasing the trigger and manually lowering the hammer.
As soon as you start lowering the hammer you can release the trigger and then continue lowering the hammer till it rests in the half #### position. On some guns the half #### position is barely above the full dropped position and it can look like its fully dropped.

I did figure it out, it was just so subtle i didnt notice it. So i was just missing it. its already so easy to load i dont think ill get a speed loader. i may upgrade the sights though, however after testing it yesterday it was so dead on i dont want to touch anything lol

Nice, KISS is never a bad plan..... :)
Sights are a personal choice and there are several good options if you decide to try something different like a brass bead or a glow type bead etc.
