Can anyone recommend an adapter for a rimfire dowel that allows you to mount standard weaver or picatinny scope mount to?

I’d like to put a Micro dot to my son’s rifle, so it’s pretty lightweight, but I can’t find anything low profile that doesn’t look flimsy.

Thanks for the help.

UTG makes some profiled ones. They clamp pretty solid. Adds very little height.

You snap them into the weaver/pinny optic, ring etc.

I thought those were the cheapest, flimsiest junk I had ever tried on a rifle.

I have used them on airguns and .22lr with no troubles.
There holding power varies in relation to the clamping force of the rings you use.
There are also delrin ones out there that the guys at Rimfire Central (USA) swear by when used in conjunction with Burris Z rings. (JP adapters)

I've used B Square & J&P delrin adaptors on a lot of rim fires without issue. Last time I had trouble finding B Squares, I bought a couple of sets of these and they worked just fine !!! - 3/8" dove tail to Weaver adaptor. Burris Signature zees are also now manufactured in China and I've used several sets of these without issue.

You have to be sure of your dove tail size - I've found that all of these types of bases will only work correctly when fitted precisely. The Chinese knock offs won't fit an 11MM dove tail. J&P have to be ordered to suit as they supply both 3/8" & 11MM.

The UTG ones were the first ones I tried, but the claws on the adapter wouldn't clear the curved top of the receiver. It's too bad, those are really low profile and I bet they work like a charm on flat topped dowels.

Odd, I used them on curved airgun receivers.

red-dot reflex

FYI - I bought the RioRand red dot reflex on amazon.ca. They were $29 when I bought them, but now are $37 if you have Prime. I mounted it on a scope rail on top of a vortex Diamondback 4-12 riding my Savage-64. Had them out y-day and works fine out to 50yds. I didn't try further since it was 32* at the range and I was drippin' after 5 hours.

The reflex comes with built-in Pic mount held with 2 hex screws. Seems pretty good so far. Check it out.
