Hi! Looking to change out my sights, and looking to see if anybody in the 604 area has a pusher I can borrow the use of and/or compensate you for the use.
For a Sig P226. Please PM me!

you know how easy they are to change with a brass drift punch and a small tack hammer, right? you can get both at your nearest Dollar store, add a roll of masking or electrical tape to protect the barrel if you’re worried about a swing and a miss with the hammer. Most sights are seated from right to left, so tapping them out from the right to left is usually easier. it is NOT HARD. Tap on the punch crisply; you don’t have to swing for the fences, put you do have to use a bit more force than banging a thumbtack into drywall. once you have the old ones out, clean the dovetail thoroughly to make sure there is no loctite or anything. position the new sight in the slot with your fingers; you’ll be able to start it in just using finger pressure. Tap the new one into position with the same amount of force you used to remove the old one...again, it’s NOT HARD. not a bad idea to mark the location of the old sight on the top of the slide; if it has any texture, just use an HB pencil, easy to remove with a little solvent after. over the years I’ve done a couple hundred sight changes this way...at least a couple hundred. Zero issues...it does NOT need a $100 plus tool to do the job

I did try this, but mine seem to be in quite tight. I would definitely give them another go, but if somebody does have a tool available, it would definitely make things a little easier!

I bring a portable clamp on vise to the range when I need to adjust irons. On pistols I take the slide off, clamp it in the padded jaws tightly then tap them with a brass punch and hammer.
