Japanese Milsurp Thread

Wanted to update, Received my Arisaka 38 yesterday! She's missing the floor plate and the rear sling mount. I've ordered both parts from American suppliers, once they arrive and I assemble them, Ill figure out how to drop some pics.
Cheers!

Awesome! Can't wait to see 'em!

I’ve had nothing but really good experiences with gunbroker sellers and Prophets import service.

Sorry for the reply to an old-ish comment, but I was curious about your mentioning Prophet River as your importer, as they currently say they only do shotguns and optics(?). Is that something they changed recently, or am I mot seeing the full page on mobile.

pm us. we are working on getting the rifle/handgun info back up

I consider anything with all the features “early” vs the ones where they start deleting them, “transistional” and then when they are bare bones “late”.

It’s mid war I suppose but early
Model.

Hi sorry for my wording, I don’t mean to question you, I really have no clue how they are categorized.
Yours is the nicest one I’ve seen.

Here is a Special Naval Rifle. Note the cast iron, elemental construction. The steel bolt locks into a steel barrel extension, which is pinned to the iron receiver. Barrel has chromed bore. 7.7mm. Inside the barrel channel are pencilled characters for "nakamura". The assembler?

Check mine out guys, just drove a few towns east to pick this up from a collector's widow. An all matching, down to the firing pin Arisaka Type 99!
She's from the Nagoya Arsenal, Series 1 "イ" series marked so she's made between 1939-1940, as early war as it gets!
Love how the condition she's in too, nothing altered, the previous collector took great care of her and I'll be always grateful!
