Ruger BRAKE Removable

Mine was shipped pretty loose, managed to twist it off by hand. I'd give it a try just using an oily cloth before taking a wrench to it and marking it up.
 
Soak seized Muzzle Brake or Thread Protector with a good penetrating oil, wipe down, apply heat from torch, then use a wrench to remove. This has worked well for me.
 
I used a backup wrench on the jam nut and a round shank screw driver taped with black tape [for protection] to slide through the ports on the brake, I had to smack the screw driver handle firmly with a hammer, my Wife assisted, Not sure if all models of the Scout have a jam nut but mine did.
