Lyman warranty in Canada

Has anyone try and warranty any Lyman products? and who did you go thru?

Today my Lyman Cyclone wet tumbler started to make a funky screeching noise.

I could see it costing alot to send it to the States.

I could see it costing alot to send it to the States.

I emailed them (nicely) when my borescope screen connector broke - they asked me for more details - four weeks later I had a brand new screen shipped at no cost to me - they are fantastic to deal with and stand by their products.

Lyman warranty is handled in the US. Had to send a bullet mould and they replaced it with a new one.
They are great to deal with. Yes you have to poney the ride to them on your dime.

Doesn't seem to be any play in the rollers bearings, or the motor bearing. Nails on a chalk board annoying.

Eek. Just had my Cyclone delivered today. Hopefully that doesn’t happen to it.

Found the issue. Belt miss alignment, was causing it to ride up on the idler pulley wall. Since the idler pulley is just a rod with a spring, a washer, a bearing, and another washer, with a snap ring holding it on the rod. It was spinning one of the washers, not the bearing. So metal on metal sound was that.

Lyman got back to me. They said it could be the belt, and it would be 87$ CAD to ship it back to them. 1/3 the cost I paid for it new.

I had problems with a Lyman case trimmer. They asked me to ship it to them for repair with my money. They also offered to sell me e new model with no real price advantage compared on what I can get to Cabela's. I bought a rcbs trimmer and will avoid their products.
