Moose hunting with Dogs in Finland

It's not the most sporting way to do it, but its interesting and I thought I'd share.

Well, I would disagree, I have hunted deer using hounds and I find it exciting and sporting. You do know that hounds were developed for this type of hunting right? You do know that other areas of our country ALLOW the use of hounds for deer, raccoon, cougar etc etc etc...

With your stance, you could argue that using hounds for rabbits would be unsporting!!! You guys do run rabbits with hounds in Nova Scotia don't you???

Anyhow, you hit a nerve with me on this issue. ALL sportsmen and women have to stand together to protect EVERYONE's sport. To let one fall is to watch the demise of our entire shooting sport and hunting heritage!

Cheers
Jay
P.S. Think about the issue some more, educate yourself.

Aww SOOOORRRRY You had your feelings hurt.

Anyhow, I guess what I meant to say ( but I didnt type it that way ) was that maybe its not the most sporting way to do it. But I didnt say anything against it. Did I? Infact I said that I thought it was interesting. Thats why I shared it. I didnt post it and say hey look at these a$$h*les.

Actually I didnt know that Big Game was hunted with dogs in many places in canada, not counting the tracking of a wounded animal. And yes I did know about others such as raccoon's etc. So now I'm educated! Thank You.

So as much as I dont want to agree with you after that rant, I still do agree that we have to stand together to protect hunting for everyone and support them however they choose to do it, as they are following their heritage. It only makes since, that if we let them loose their sport, ours will surely follow.

Now, who's on a rant?

I guess he just "hit a nerve with me"Starting something over nothing.

I was posting something because I thought some others might like to see it, but because I was preceived to have posted it with the wrong attitude. Then all of a sudden I need to be educated. :jerkit:

Quartering away not moving quick, no problem with that shot, and probably not that much meat damage, not like he put right up the butt.

We used to run coon and black bear. Used to be a lot of fun. Even though we no longer have hounds...I still have a cougar hunt on my wish list.:)
