Even if they aren't built like they used to, still waiting/wanting on the Anaconda 44mag re-release, if ever they get to it.
I was shooting my old Python the other day. The DA pull is nice and smooth.
I also shot a Colt Lawman and a Border Patrol. The DA is so heavy it would be just about impossible to use.
What's with that?

That old ammo belongs in a collection.

Let's open a can of worms....
Why OLD versus NEW Pythons ?
Collectors wishing/thinking the olds have more value ?
Creating a special niche like the Luger 'Black widow", which doesn't exist as such but christened by a collector to add desirability and a certain value ?
Desire to protect a very questionable investment ?
(Flame suit on).

I was just thinking the same thing after seeing the photo . heck I was reading or should I say trying to read the head stamps on the cartages in the revolver saying to myself NO !!! I hope he's not shooting what's in that box .
Just got a "new" model Python. Have an "old" model made in 1965 for comparison.
My 1st impression was the new 1 is pretty good, which it is but upon further inspection the fitment of the metal parts is NOT as good as the old 1, the fitment of the grips is abysmal compared to the old 1 and the trigger does not hold a candle to the old 1.
I expect the new 1 will shoot well, and I hope it is not as delicate as the old 1, but so far I think the new 1 is grossly over priced for what I got.
My Trooper Mk. III is quite beautiful but the DA trigger.......hooooooboy!
