Reddot recommendations?

Another vote for the Bushnell TRS25.
I've put all 3 of mine through hell and they keep working.
They are all 6 to 7 years old.

Edited to add: a while back I found a 4th in my parts bin which now resides on my S&W SW22 Victory. Best budget sights IMHO.

Thanks everyone for the reply. I have found someone on the forum that was selling a Nikon p-tactical spur. Will be trying this out as soon as I can find a picatinny rail for my pardner pump (Doesn't fit my weaver rail ;-( grr ) . Almost all sources I have found say they are "currently unavailable" ;-(

What are your options then when no one offers a stock rail for your shotty?
Can a gunsmith take a undrilled rail and drill it for a pardner pump screw spacing?
Widen a few of the weaver cross bars so that my Nikon Spur fits on my (modified) weaver rail?

Cheers,

David

Weaver # 48113 ( the cross slots are only on the front and back, nothing in the center.

Okayshooter, did you have a chance to go back to the range and validate that everything works correctly now?

Haven't picked up slugs yet. Maybe next week. Been soo hot that I barely go outside, hard to shoot when sweat is dripping down my face.

Hey Sharp, unfortunately, that's the weaver rail I have and the slots aren't wide enough to fit the Spur. That's why I think that just removing a tiny bit of material would do the job.

Having the weaver rail that fits perfectly though would make it SOO easy to line up the holes on an undrilled picatinny rail though!

Finally got the 20GA Pardner out, with the same gobbler sights. Shot Federal and Winchester Slugs. Got the elevation maxed out, and had to push it forward, more on the rib more. But I didn't play with the windage.

Still shooting low and left, but I don't got much seat time with this shotgun. May try to mount an optic and see if I could do better.

I do got the thicker Weaver 87A mount here that lines up.

Just curious .... at what distance was this .... and with what choke?

One of the things that kept me from shooting tight groups with my 870s or clones was the sluggish trigger.

After I had installed the Timney trigger fix ... the trigger was much better ... and groups tightened up.

I could see that. I would like to try another 20ga shotguns and with slugs, to see if there is a low left pattern, then it would be something I was doing.

I bet ill see a difference with the reddot, if I decide to keep this mount. It's kind of high. I have another on order, But was back ordered.

I used a walther red dot on my slug and turkey gun for a while but eventually switched to a 4x optic. It held up on my 458wm while i was playing with 500gr loads.
