The Fix by Q is the biggest step forward in bolt-action rifle innovation since 1962, and is the foundation of what our company believes in – science and innovation.

We identified a gap in the market, set goals to successfully reinvent the traditional design, and developed a product far superior to the industry’s conventional bolt gun. This isn’t just another custom 700 pretending to be something new. This is something new, and it will kick your dad’s rifle’s ass.

NOTE: Using cartridges made specifically for semi-auto rifles may cause lite primer strikes due to their hard primers.

Gravel, can you clarify whether these will be restricted or NR? According to the OAL measurment provided for the rifle in the folded position these will just barely be restricted.

These are Non Restricted

Currently the dealers include:

Wolverine Supplies
West Coast Hunting
Arnie's Guns

Can anyone tell me the value in this, over something like the Christensen MPR or evening some of the cheaper ones like the sig cross?
You could literally buy a cross and a Christensen modern precision rifle in carbon for the price of this rifle...

as per https://nfa.ca/2005/02/25/barrel-and-firearms-lengths/

If the firearm ARRIVES at the “less than 26″/660mm in overall length” condition by “sawing, cutting” etc., then it is forced into the “prohibited firearm” class. If it left the factory at that too-short length, the limit does NOT apply. It is non-restricted, UNLESS it is semi-automatic AND centrefire.

however, in the actual text of the law:
https://parl.ca/Content/Bills/351/Government/c-68/c-68_4/c-68_4.pdf

which means that "cutting and sawing" is only applied to make it a Prohib.

Which is exactly what the folding stock does. Does it not?

This is clearly restricted firearm by definition. How does it not? The text of the law just defines it. Its either less 600mm folded or not. There are no INCHES in the law, there are 660mm. It is either less than 25.98425 inch folded and restricted by def. Or it is over 25.98425 inches folded.

FRT lists them as having 410mm barrels which would be ~16.15" putting it just over 26" OAL folded.

Although there is one sub entry of the .308 with 410mm barrel that is restricted under the folded OAL rules.

The prohibited rules posted before are ignored because the firearm has been Manufactured and not Adapted

I'd like to know if gravel can confirm the actual barrel/oal length is 410mm/664mm folded, respectively or if the stock has been pinned open.

The rifles imported by us were build specifically for us after working with both Q and the Government/RCMP to comply with Canadian Firearm Laws, hence why there is the Non-Restricted and Restricted FRT.

Yes the stock still folds.

The above description was copy/pasted from the US website. Sometimes mix ups like this happen, like when a lot of AR's were advertised with an included 30rnd mag, where we all "know" it will come pinned to five, due to the description being copied and pasted.

While I can appreciate you confirming the status, I am curious how it was altered into compliance, something had to change in the specifications in order to increase the length. The Logical easiest way would be to install a longer muzzle device, but some other options would include a longer barrel or a stock extension that fits between the main receiver and stock. Could you please let us know?

Wolverine's post this spring said $4995cdn.
And that it could change, depending on what the exchange rate did before they arrived.

So the 5k price tag brings me back to my original question that no one answered. How is this better than two sig crosses or a carbon Christensen MPR?
