M10x FAILURES

in my case: i have never had any failures in my vz58, t81. had some in sks-kd. almost never had fails in unmodified russian or chinese sks. with sks-it all depends on many factors... huge variation... with vz58 and t81 i assume there is less variation and more manufacturing consistency... so easier to conclude re: quality of the rifle. my favorite is still sks... if you get a good quality, functional one-very reliable and milled receiver-love it. i like t81 feel, ergonomics. I like vz58 weight-really really comfortable etc. every red rifle lover should have these three: vz, sks, t81-they provide different flavors. i had big hopes on m10x... but... ideally we need ak, but what can we do... there is only one 100% effective way to fix this problem and I am not going to verbalize it...

I’ve been shooting my M10X with Russian surplus non-corrosive ammo and I haven’t had a single snag yet with around 600 rounds down the pipe. All the people talking poorly of it just can’t afford one. My two cents.. I’ve owned the type 81 and it’s absolute dog ####.

If I may, I bought one and it's trash. RDSC is trash for warranty work too.. just thought Id add that..

you re a good salesman of the red rifles ... i do like sks and sks kd and also the t81 but not that much vz58 or cz 858 but that is just me (i do not have them anymore).

I recently shot 500rds of Barnaul 123gr HP.

250 and 250 with 20 min break in between. Breaks to reload 4 mags. Gas setting "1". Two FtE at the start which i think was caused by ammo/gas setting combo.

Ejection was weak, at 3 o'clock and landing about 20 inches away. Sometimes casings were flying off at 1 o'clock, but majority at 3.

Setting "2" BTW has an opening much larger than "1", so I did not try it to avoid stressing the parts.

I have a m10x it works flawlessly. I've never had a feed issue the mag is excellent with a last round hold open that works everytime. Never had an issue with the charge handle my handle twist to lock in then the cap can be threaded tight so it can't pop out. Shoots millsurp reloads and even cast bullets like a champ. I personally would not trade I for any other 7.62x39 rifle.

I didn't think these had a last round bolt hold open?

Lol @ peoples mental gymnastics defending their insecurities in purchases.

Anyway, I've typically built and shot $4k - $5k+ custom ar15s, and I love the platform. But I bought a $1000 Chicom Type 81 and I've been having a ton of fun with it. It's crude, it's ugly, and it's reliable as hell lmao. I never really saw the appeal in eastern guns like the sks and what not until I bought one of these. Ive been fabricating parts, making stocks in my woodshop, and I haven't had a single failure of any kind yet!

I love my T81, im sure I'd love my m10x if I had one, and I sure as hell love my ar15s and my CZ bolt guns :) Guns are all different and have their quirks, people like different things and have different reasons for ownership. No need to be a prick about your choice vs someone elses, just have fun while we can, and amass those NRs lol

Its a magazine that does the bolt hold open

Ahh, I see. I was right - it's just the mag follower of some AK mags (Croatian mags maybe? Most AK mags won't do this) that are engaging the bolt carrier and holding it open until the mag is removed, at which point it immediately slams forward. Completely useless "feature" compared to a proper bolt-hold-open.

this is weird because i have a m10x shoot over 1000 rounds of barnaul so far never have a single issue misfire jam or feeding problems and awesome accuracy.might be because early models

thanks for sharing. another sad evidence of miserable failure of Z model as well. almost every crazy fail is possible with this rifle, I am affraid. what is the chance of double collar with previous cartridge shell? yet it happens with this rifle. what is the chance of charging handle flying away? yet I cought it on video too. m and m needs a good engineer to correct multiple problems or better just dismiss the company as a criminal negligence is too deep at all levels there
