My first 10/22 Build

Here she is.
Just recieved all my parts from Rimfire sports and Hawktech.I got the scope mount and charging handle from Hawktech wich arrived in about a week.
16 inch green mountain fluted Bull barel,Hogue stock,TG 2000 trigger group,bolt buffer and a exact edge extractor came from Rimfire wich took 22 days to arrive and most of the time it was at customs.I got the Nikkon scope at wally world state side about 3 weeks ago.Now i need to find some steel lip mags.

So i have all theese new parts that i took off the new gun such as Stock,barel,charging handle and trigger group.What would be a fair price to sell theese for?

DAMN 22 days for the stuff from Rimfire eh?

I'm waiting for a GM barrel from them right now... It's been 12 days so far :(

Lame? I hardly think so. It's relative to what one should expect ordering from outside the country.
 
ok... do you mind telling me roughly how much that project cost you, all in?
Or, more precisely, how much it would cost me to replicate it (if you got some special deals or something, how much is the regular retail)
 
22 days was not bad at all.Like i said customs had it for about 9 days.
Total cost without scope was roughly 750.00.Now i bought a new 22 and stripped it for the frame and bolt.You can cut your cost down if you can get a used one off of here.I will be selling off the other new parts and hope to make about 150.00 from them so realy the gun cost me 600.00.

pc9, you truly have a lovely rifle there, and please don't take this the wrong way, but would you not have been better just buying a Remington 597 Laminate Stock Heavy Barrel for half the cost to begin with? I'm sure a 597 out of the box is pretty close in accuracy to a ###ed up 10/22. The most you would have to buy for a 597 is a hammer. Maybe I'm not seeing the full picture here, but I just don't get 10/22's :confused:

Doing the custom work to make it exier/shoot better is part of the fun. Out of the box is boring to some of us......

It is lame when you can't wait to build your rifle and when you consider the fact that everything else coming out of the states usually takes 5-7 business days.

Maybe you're more patient than I am. :runaway:

IMO the 10/22 is the AR-15 of the rimfire world.

Tons of mods available and they're fun to build up.
 
I ordered my trigger stuff, mag release and bolt hold open thingy back on the 17th...25th today (fingers drumming on desk)
I`m used to it. I used to order old car parts from suppliers in the states. and it would take about 3 weeks.

When I ordered my barrel from the states I went through the whole import permit - export permit thing. It took a few months! Consider yourself fortunate you'll be getting a barrel in that short time.
 
I’m planning to get Hogue stock (for standard barrel) is it any good? I’m finding original 10/22 stock is terrible.
 
Seems like a well built trigger group and so it should be because its made by VQ.I have not had a chance to get out yet to try it.Will be going out on sunday to give it a run through.
