PE90, this is gonna cost me.

Rich is a member of the super, uber top squirrel secret CGN door bursting team. Any more info and we'll have to kill you.

I love my Green Special! I just got my B&T rail and will order an ACOG at some point.

Yes and it will look like mine ;) :D

If I get a non-target model, like above, and wanted to scope it, I would need to buy a rail correct? What would that cost?, and would it be as good as the factory bases on the target model...?
I would prefer the open sight that are on the rifle pictured above, rather than the folding type.

Yes you,d need a Rail, I have a B&T rail. It should cost below $200 shipped to Quebec. I was going to install an Ior Valdada scope so I had ordered Arms 22 rings, the High ones but that project was changed to an Acog.

The diopter sights are way better than the folding ones thats for sure.

Yes you would need a rail, and probably a cheek piece as well as you'll also need to figure a way to mount the scope above or in front of the drum, while still allowing you a clear sight picture.

Any mounting of a scope that I've seen where it goes above the rear sight drum ala Speckfire's ACOG is too high without a cheek piece. (imho - ymmv)

If you think you'll go optics, do yourself a favour and get the flattop model.

The PE 90, Canadian Classic Green, Black Special ect. are made to exactly the same quality standards as the current SG 550, 551 and 552's. The only difference is that they don't contain the full-auto and burst parts. There is a belief that the Semi Auto guns are better and more attention is paid to them in the factory as they will be used by target shooters.

No true... If it was just a semi-auto variant of the Sig 550. We won't be able to have them. It would be prohibited by OIC. When TSE imported them, they sent a rifle to the RCMP firearms forensic lab to verify it. The RCMP ruled that the internal components were different vs. the 550. Therefore making the Swiss Arms non-restricted.

I believe it is the receiver that was modified. All internals and quality standards are the same.

IIRC, all the new CQBs being imported come with the black furniture. While I originally was a little hesitant about the green furniture, it has definitely grown on my and I actually prefer it over the black. Same way I prefer the Classic Green over the Black Special.

You can purchase different coloured furniture from a couple of Swiss suppliers. It isn't cheap though!
