RDB C compensator question

I have an RDB C and just bought a DPMS Miculek Compensator. When I put it on there is a half inch gap between the compensator and nut and barrel end. I am new to this kind of thing obviously.

Would someone advise whether there is something I can buy to fill in that 1/2 inch gap?

I'd be inclined to take it off and measure both male and female thread lengths to see if it was threaded down as far as it should go.
If the female thread looks like it should allow deeper seating, maybe it should get chased with a bottoming tap at your local machine shop.

You're not wrong.

The RDB has a VERY long threaded area, compared to most rifles.

I ordered a jam nut to take up some of the extra space but it will still show a bit of the barrel.

Had same problem on an X95 very long threaded area.
At the time, I used a Surefire warcomp, as it also has a long threaded area.
