Looking for your opinion on semi-auto problem

I have a semi-auto in 22LR that is presently going into full auto mode at times.
To break this down in its simplest form there are three basic parts to a semi-auto rifle:
1. The trigger assembly
2. The action
3. The barrel
Of these three parts, where should I look to solve this problem or what can I eliminate as being the cause of the problem.....for example, can the barrel be eliminated or is there a chance that could cause the problem as well?

Yeah like, slam firing itself until it's empty after pulling the trigger once - that would be the sear. If it's basically new and you're having multiple issues with it, get in touch with the dealer. On the other hand, it maybe an easy enough fix and you may learn a thing or two about the rifle. I would take it apart, in front of a YouTube video for reference and see what I could do, that's just me. Start with the trigger group.

Thinking outside the box........is there any chance the barrel could create this problem?

Take it back, I am not up on the gun, but the trigger is not engaging the sear, the sear is buggered, or you have broken sear spring or trigger spring, os , as said the firing pin is jammed ahead. If it is a spring loaded pin, the spring could be the problem.
I have run in to one or two that where so dirty that the sear was sized, 22 semi pistol with about 10k and never cleaned, and another one with old hard grease, but if it is new that will not be the problem. The barrel should not have any effect, unless the chamber was bad and you get a slam fire from the bolt crushing the rim. I will have to google Tuff 22
O.K. a 10/22 type ,I would just phone them. Is it a match chamber, if so , could be ammo , you can't use crap in some of these , try a few different brands CCI, Fed., Winchester and rem, which I hate.. I am not really sure what is happening with that, does it chamber a round O.K.?

BTW FA is neat, but not when you don't expect it , and not without the 12-2, LOL

The full story......this rifle has both a Kidd single stage trigger and a Kidd super light barrel (does not have a match grade chamber).
After the initial sight in of this rifle, I proceeded to shoot a .450" 10 shot group at 50 yards using gopher ammo - needless to say I thought I won the lottery regarding the accuracy of this rifle. During this outing, the action started to act up not cocking at times and at other times going into full auto mode.
I contacted Dlask immediately and they mentioned the trigger would need to be changed to repair the problem as they had 6 to date doing the exact same thing.
I sent them the barrelled action over a month ago thinking I would get back in two weeks or less. Two weeks go by and I contact them - they cannot figure out what the problem is and mention they are going to build me a complete new rifle!
Thats all fine and good but now my lottery barrel is not returning.......this does not settle well with me!
I asked them to change out the trigger and action to see what the outcome would be?
Another two weeks go by and I contact them and they mention they have never had this happen before and need to change out the barrel......another few days go by with no reply!
That is when I figured I would get more experienced opinions (other than mine) to confirm if in fact a barrel could create the problems associated with this rifle?
Can't lie, but have a sick feeling that my lottery barrel is destined to a new home :-(

I wouldn’t worry too much about the barrel. I think all the Kidd barrels are lottery barrels. My superlight is insanely accurate for a 10/22.

That's irrelevant advice. The firearm is seriously malfunctioning and needs to be fixed. I cant foresee a scenario where the barrel would cause this kind of malfunction. Full auto fire in a rimfire firearm can be caused by three factors: Too small of headspace (the bolt closing is setting the cartridge off), a "Fixed" firing pin (one that is jammed, or otherwise forward enough to cause the gun to fire), and trigger problems (worn/damaged/inadequate sear surfaces). In don't see how anything related to the barrel or receiver could cause problems unless there is serious misalignment amongst the parts.

Would not think so, but possible? Could be due to COV-19 and workplace hours getting all screwed up.
With that said, it would be nice (reassuring) to have them reply back without me having to prod them to do so!
 
Problem solved........turns out a bad batch of Kidd single stage triggers which explains replacing bad with bad did not solve the problem.
Ended up getting a sweet deal upgrading to a Kidd 2 stage trigger - from all the positives I have read about that trigger should make it an even more impressive shooting stick.
Another bonus..........my lottery barrel is coming back home :)
