Swore I’d never own a plastic brick but those words came back to mock me. Strange twists and turns in life and all the sudden we are living on both sides of the line because of my work.

The revolver is too heavy for the Wife and with .357 loads, she is not a fan. Which brings me to buying my first striker fire pistol. Sunday funday at the range tomorrow......

Lined up the back end of the pistols up with a straight edge and the 43 is certainly a slim little rig.

Very nice, hope it works for you and the wife! I always thought Glocks were ugly and never had a desire to own one until I actually shot one. They just work for me and fit my hand well, I hope it's the same for you :)

i believe those are the standard plastic sights, correct?
get a smith to install a nice pair of tritium or fibre optic/tritium sights on there.

reason i say 'smith is because those sights can be hell to remove/install.

the front sights require a cheap tool you can buy on ebay but the rear sights need a sight pusher and they are tight--even filing the dovetail
(of the sight) might be required--like i had to do with some meprolights.

You have my deepest sympathies. I’m pretty sure an hk sfp1 would cure you of this Glock illness.

GLOCK's work indeed. I had a chance to shoot one of those bad boys while on course down in Idaho a few years back. They are awesome but hold on tight as they do try and fly out of your hand, especially if you have big mitts. Liked it so much that I bought a 48 as soon as they came out here.
Have fun and be sure to give us a range report.

Glocks work!

NAA.

Why yes, they certainly do! The wife loves it, I enjoyed but am getting 2 mags with +2 extensions for my mitts.....

I bought a few things to wrench on it, have a set of Truglo TFXPRO sights inbound. It certainly ain’t my bench at home but I’m going to give it a whirl.....

Like a moped. Fun, but don't let your friends see you using one...

True, real men (women) shoot 1911s or Sigs or CZs or ... ;)

ROFL, true but I’m old and don’t care...Kimber 1911 and CZ 97B at home, the HK SFP9 SK certainly looks entertaining..... Wanted a utilitarian, simple truck, purse pistol....

Yup, it’s surprisingly accurate, more accurate than I without some more practice but very pleasingly tight at 15yds. We were doing our CCW drills at 3/7/15yds and there is no issue passing the practical....

I had a couple of gen 1 and gen 2 Glocks, very happy with them. Gen 3 came along & ended my interest. Nothing major, but a lot of little things I didn’t like. I had no Glock’s for almost 15 years, then the 19X came out. It was just ugly enough to make me interested, so I got a chance to shoot one, and bought a copy that day.put a PILE of rounds through it the first 8-10 months. Then the 48 dropped, I ordered one the first day they were available and harassed the shop enough they got me one of the first they received.
That little gun is PERFECT. I even hung a RDS on it with a dovetail mounting plate to see if I liked it; about 6000 rounds later, I decided I did, and left it on. I have shot a milled slide version since, and actually prefer the dovetail mounted plate from Outer Impact. It sits about 1/16in prouder than the milled slide, and is easier to pick up the dot. VERY solid mount; I regularly rack the slide with the optic, and it’s held zero perfectly the whole time.
When someone else comes out with a significantly better 9mm of the same dimensions for the Canadian market, I’ll have a look. Until then, these two Glocks brought me back in the fold
