Llama 1911 45

I disagree. The Llama is way above Norinco Chicom junk.
Beautiful deep rich bluing on the slide & frame. Sure, its a one-off 45acp pistol employing some non-interchangeable parts, but its a great plinker, a great pistol to learn with and reasonably priced.

The Llamas are junk! Were when they were new and have not aged better. The Norinco was one of the few makes Wilson Combat advertised as guns they would except as a base for a custom build. They never did use Kimber for example and they sure as hell never used Llama's either. Nobody that I know of has ever questioned the strength of the steel in Norinco frames and slides and the Norc 1911 still uses spring steel extractors, something you won't find in most entry level 1911's.

I would pass.. And keep the Kimber. Plus I don't deal with friends. Because everytime something goes bad, they will contact you, like you off a 100% money back guarantee.

Well I was thinking 500 and his gun but I'm not getting the llama. Might just keep the kimber, they re selling for only 850 right now.

If you figure the Kimber's worth $850, then a fair deal would be around $900 and the Llama for the Kimber.

I owned one Llama years ago. Very little of it was 1911 spec. Worked ok though, most of the time, but sold it for a couple hundred bucks.

Truth!!

The Llama mags are a bit different than 1911, O.K. gun , but I would not pay more than 300.oo if I wanted it, which I don't . The first 9mm I owned was a Omega, But I was young and stupid way back than. One thing I have found out , Crap is always crap, and no one wants it at any price, Cheap is not cheap in the long run. You know where I am going with this , Right?
