Hey guys

I have a 20 gauge Remington 1100 and need a replacement O-ring for it. I called Western Gun Parts to order one, but apparently there are two sizes. The gun I have is from the late 70s. How is the best way to find sizing for this part?

Thank you

I took mine into a hydraulic shop. They found a match very easily and they were like 40 cents each

Did the same, but only took the gas ring in....
WGP should have been able to sort out the two sizes as Remington made a large frame 20 gauge and a scaled version as well.
Without a picture I can not tell what version you have.
Relaible in Vancouver can sort this out or any reputable gun shop as well.
Dont know what city you are in so thats as far as a recommendation I can offer.

Should be able to measure the mag tube where the o-ring sits. I bought 60 of the 12ga viton ones for $15 from a local bearing shop.

Western Gun Parts could have simply asked you the designation on the action... the smaller size is the Lightweight 20 gauge 1100... the other 20 gauge is on the 12 gauge frame... and the Lightweight 20 is a superb gun...

but they have a minimum order and one seal probably would have cost you $45. They are not geared for the retail customer, they want 'dealers' to place orders...

I’m pretty sure it’s the small frame. Part of why I bought it is it’s smaller, lighter size.

I actually just made an order from Western Gun Parts for something else. I’ll likely end up getting a couple at a local smith.

I’m located just west of Ottawa, so smiths are somewhat limited, but the one I use in the city is pretty good to deal with.

Thank you guys
