Hey Gang,

Just wondering what your using on your 870 for a side saddle shell holder. Looking to purchase one, so I'd love to hear what you like/dislike about yours.

I run the esstac shotgun cards (7 shot) with 3m industrial velcro. They are very good at retaining rounds, even heavy slugs. I like that you can rip one off and smack a new one on super quick.

I too vote for 7 round cards. Shame S&J stopped making 7 rounders. Never asked why.
Card can be easily carried in a pouch or pocket. Better long term retention than most polymer options. And they translate well to matches because you can swap cards and master the reload from the side saddle, opposed to learning multiple loading techniques.

You don't have any issues with the velcro? I'm just a little paranoid about the strength of the hold, especially if the cards have a nice firm grip on the shells.
 
I have a 6 shot mesa tactical with the black rubber insert. Used it for years and never had issues.

I like the velcro shot card and I’m actually looking for one for my Regulator

Mine get used at least once a week and ive had them for 5 years with no issues with the velcro. The 3m is peel and stick and the adhesive is fantastic. I would not hesitate to buy more and i recommend them.

Mesa Tactical came out with a Polymer 6 shell side saddle a few years ago that is less expensive that the all aluminum versions. It has very robust dual rubber inserts that really grip the shells and an aluminum backing plate for rigidity.

Clean the receiver or buttstock really well to get any oil or dirt off and the Velcro sticks like a hot damn, I’ve got a couple that have been on for a couple years now and they’re on there good and solid. Pulling cards off doesn’t come close to peeling the Velcro off the gun.
 
I sent and email and tried to navigate their website. No dice.

Bit of a thread revival here, but has anyone got a Canadian source for the Esstac cards in Canada? Tried the suggestions in this thread with no luck.
 
S&J will have out 6 shot card and famous DSC #### shell pouch back in stock later this month
We made 1000 of them in black . Tan green MUTICAM and MUTICAM black
