Just curious. Am I the only one?

I watched a video of a 9 year old girl getting charged and tossed into the air by a Bison... to be honest I felt nothing. No sympathy towards the girl. I’m glad she wasn’t killed but, I felt nothing.

Usually with wild animal attack I’ll feel some sort of empathetic emotion, but not with a bison attack. Is that human guilt?

When the news reporter said to give them space(1.57) the other female reporter says we shouldn't have to give. I hope she isn't implying it's ok to walk up to wild animals. Maybe she meant people should know better to keep their distance.

Listening to Brad and John on 92.9 the other day they do a section on "When Animals Attack"
This was the story the other day.
OP, I'm sure you learned everything you needed to know about life at 8 yrs of age and by 9 you had your career in line and paying taxes and....well you get the point.

I think she says "Seems like advice they shouldn't have to give."

Not uncommon.

My FIL used to have bison on his farm. One day while he was opening the gate to feed the bison they decided to rush the gate to get to the other side. One bison managed to get his horn hooked on his belt and tossed him. lucky for him he got tossed out of the way of the rushing herd. Even the "tamed" ones can be unpredictable. It was fun having them roam around Cayuga, took a while to get them back in.

A friend had a small herd a few years ago - Central Saskatchewan. Was an experienced cattle man, but he would not get out of his 3/4 ton when he drove into pasture to check that herd - warned me a couple times about how crazy they are, especially with calves. Had a length of electrified fence pushed down - bulls had been fighting - at least one was missing. Can't rope them, can't herd them, so had put word out to neighbours to have their rifles ready in case it showed up in their yard after their stock. Turned out that big old guy was actually wearing a path in the grass around and around that fenced pasture - he wanted back in there for Round 2. My friend simply left a gate open on far side of pasture and the big fellow found his way back in. Not to be messed with! But then I have seen several dozen cars pulled over and dozens of tourist type people in the ditch in Jasper taking pictures of a grizzly, so not really surprized that there is a "people kind" that would not see a Bison as an issue...

I can't believe I have to say this but WTF is wrong with you?

The girl wasn't out there on her own.

Just a way out there thought but maybe the adults involved should be the ones getting scrutinized?

I feel bad that she is involved with irresponsible adults.

Dude, it's a kid? WTF is wrong with you? I'm sure you were dumb as a kid too. Never blame children for their parents' faults.

Now that grown a$$ "tough" biker chick who got rag dolled, that's 100% her fault and she's an idiot.

Perhaps your getting my point all wrong...

I think the kid can be excused however the dumb b↑tch in CusterPark ought to have known better and got what she deserved.

A bunch of city people that think they are in a petting zoo.
Even with cows in the spring with new calf , you don't turn your back on them.
9 yr old may not know that , when the adults are stupid.
I know 2 cattle men that where killed by their cows, and one hurt really bad. Most of the time ,in the spring.

I guess my point has been lost, lol. The “stupid games stupid prizes” is not my intention. More of, “we killed a crap load of bison, leave em alone”
